West Dunbartonshire Community Planning Partnership is developing a new Community Plan for the next 10 years. We are looking for your views.
The aim of the Plan is to co-ordinate the activity of a wide range of agencies to ensure the best possible quality of life for the people of West Dunbartonshire.
The main themes proposed for the Plan are:
- Building Strong and Safe Communities
- Creating an Attractive and Sustainable Environment
- Improving Health and Wellbeing
- Lifelong Learning, and
- Regenerating and Growing Our local Economy
The Plan will provide an overarching framework for current activities and will set the agenda for new approaches and developments.
The Draft Plan - which has been posted on this site (see below) - has been developed by a group of community representatives and partner agencies (such as the Council, Health Services and many others). The 5 themes were a result of initial consultations, and there is now a continuing opportunity to comment on the detail of the Plan as it undergoes further development.
The Community Planning Partnership aims to agree the Plan in June 2007. There is plenty of opportunity for further comment between now and early May. You may find that some of the community meetings you attend will have this on the agenda - but if not, you may want to invite some Community Planning representatives along to your forums to discuss the issues most relevant to you. You are also welcome to submit comments.
