Learning to drive & age 17-25?
From 01/04/07 The West Dunbartonshire Community Safety Partnership launched a new road safety initiative to support Pass Plus by offering £100 grants to new drivers in West Dunbartonshire.
What is it?
Once you have passed your driving test, Pass Plus is a higher level of tuition which covers skills such as all weather driving, motorways and dual carriageways, driving in town, at night and on rural roads.
Why do it?
Statistics show that over a quarter of all fatal and serious road casualties in West Dunbartonshire are young drivers - despite the fact that they make up less than one tenth of the population.
What’s the benefit?
As well as improving your knowledge, skills and experience, many UK Insurance firms offer discounts for Pass Plus Drivers – some as much as 45% - so you could save money and save lives.
What’s the catch?
There isn’t one! The £100 is a grant which does not have to be paid back.
As long as you are aged 17-25
